MARY KELLY | COFOUNDER

Mary Kelly is a Retired Senior Technology Manager with over 35 years in technology services with experience in managing network engineering, process design and production support operations. As a retiree Mary has dedicated her time as an Affordable Housing advocate to address the affordable housing crisis and economic disparities in Charlotte. She is actively involved with City Council and County Commissioners to develop a plan and create ideals to create more affordable housing through NOAH rehabs, New Development and Vouchers. Developing educational programs through Leading the Color of Law Community Book read to educate and recruit Affordable Housing advocates. Leveraging technology to reach a wider Charlotte audience for Affordable Housing advocacy. She is Co-Chair of the Myers Park United Methodist Church Affordable Housing Group, member of the Housing Justice Coalition and One Meck Affordable housing group.

PETER KELLY | COFOUNDER

Peter Kelly is a Retired Banking Executive with over 25-year Financial Services Leader with experience in strategy, enterprise risk assessment and technology/business

 strategy alignment. Since retirement Peter has dedicated his time as an advocate for Affordable Housing and Social Justice. The goal to leverage his corporate skills to improve the effectiveness of local nonprofits and civic efforts in assisting those less fortunate. He co-chairs the Myers Park United Methodist Affordable housing group, a member of the Housing justice Coalition and the OneMeck Affordable Housing Group.

DR REV RICKY WOODS | COFOUNDER

Dr. Ricky A. Woods was named Senior Minister of First Baptist Church-West in 1995 and has worked tirelessly to not only serve as minister to the church's members, but also to help the church serve as a community beacon of social justice. His parishioners call him “Pastor,” an endearment he does not take lightly. He often says that one of his goals is to know every member personally.

 

He is often asked to speak throughout the city, state and country. He formerly served as the Samuel Dewitt Proctor Senior Mentor at United Theology Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, helping scores of ministers throughout the nation receive doctoral degrees.

 

His previous work experiences include Senior Minister of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, NC; Senior Economist for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics; and Instructor for the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education.
